Client Business Specialist, SIS compliance

The Opportunity: 

Edsembli is seeking a seasoned professional to join their commercial team as Client Business Specialist, SIS Compliance. The company is a specialized software solutions vendor that provides a cloud administrative platform for the K-12 education sector. It serves over 1.7-million students across North America, providing HR and Payroll, Finance and a Student Information System. 

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Interface with the Edsembli stakeholders including Support, Development, and Quality Assurance 

  • Liaise with the Edsembli Service Team on specific user requirements for further clarity 

  • Experience in knowledge transfer of SIS processes to the SIS end user 

  • Provide SIS knowledge from both a School District or a SIS coordinator’s perspective o Define the key SIS business processes for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual deliverables plus Ministry compliance reporting 

    • Understand the SIS process implications on system changes 

    • Work with various stakeholders to understand and document the impact of process changes from legacy to new system 

    • Review education administration processes and identify changes/weaknesses and help with remediation 

    • Re-engineer processes due to new system 

  • May attend Client’s committee sessions to understand their SIS plans & actions 

  • Comfortable dialoguing with the stakeholders including SIS staff at the individual school districts in understanding their information needs 

  • Knowledge Transfer within an implementation, managed services, or support capacity 

 

 Professional Qualifications & Experience:

  • Student Information System administration/management with a minimum of 7 – 10 years’ experience 

  • Prior experience working with a team that was responsible for several ERP systems implementations 

  • Ideal experience of working with Lean or Continuous Improvement organizations 

  • Ideal candidate will have worked in Consultative type role within an organization to influence decision making or help in business transformations 

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills 

  • Strong documentation and presentation skills 

  • Strong analytical and technical trouble-shooting skills 

  • Able to perform work plans without direct supervision 

  • Effective under pressure to deliver per customer needs 

  • Good problem resolution skills 

  • Excellent team member & player 

  • Post-secondary school degree with a minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience 

  • Able to travel to client sites for implementation projects and knowledge transfer consulting services
